This Privacy Policy explains what data Sketchie ("we", "us") collects when you use our AI explainer-video service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sketchie you agree to this policy.
To generate a video, your prompt and the text derived from it are sent to our AI subprocessors: Anthropic for scene and script generation, and ElevenLabs or Fish Audio for narration. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your prompts or generated videos to train our own models. Those providers process your content under their own terms to return a result to us.
We share data only with the service providers we need to run Sketchie:

We may also disclose data if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case we will let you know.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. We keep generated videos and assets while your account is active or until you delete them. We may retain limited records where needed for legal, tax, or security reasons. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
Your videos and assets are stored on Cloudflare R2. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@sketchie.ai. You can also delete your account from your settings.
We use a small number of cookies. A session cookie keeps you signed in, and PostHog uses cookies to understand product usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Sketchie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
