These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sketchie, an AI service that turns a text prompt into a hand-drawn explainer video ("Sketchie", the "Service", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Sketchie generates narrated, whiteboard-style explainer videos from prompts you provide. Output is produced by automated systems. It can contain mistakes, and it is your responsibility to review any video before you rely on or publish it.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to use Sketchie.
You agree not to use Sketchie to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
You keep ownership of the prompts and files you submit ("Inputs") and, as between you and us, the videos generated for you ("Outputs"). You are responsible for having the rights to your Inputs and for how you use your Outputs. You grant us the limited license needed to host, process, and transmit your Inputs and Outputs to operate the Service, including sending them to the third-party processors listed in Section 7.
Outputs are generated automatically and are provided without any warranty of accuracy, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose. Similar prompts may produce similar results for different users. Review Outputs before using them, especially for factual, legal, medical, or financial topics.
We rely on trusted subprocessors to run Sketchie. These currently include Stripe (payments), Cloudflare R2 (video and asset storage), ElevenLabs and Fish Audio (text-to-speech narration), Anthropic (scene and script generation), Resend (transactional email), and PostHog (product analytics). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. Our current list of subprocessors is described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service itself, including its software, models, design, and brand, is owned by us and our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the right to use it as described here.
You may stop using Sketchie at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service stops. Some sections, such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Outputs will meet your requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your Inputs, your Outputs, or your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating company is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
